Lesson:

Day 1: Introduction & Interactive Exploration

1. Warm-Up Discussion (10 minutes):

2. Interactive Map Exploration (30 minutes):

  • Guide students to explore the interactive map.
  • Demonstrate how to click on battle locations for information.
  • Students should record for at least five battles:
    • Battle name
    • Date
    • Location
    • Outcome
    • Significance

3. Group Discussion (15 minutes):

Students share findings and discuss patterns among battles.

Day 2: Scavenger Hunt & Reflection

1. Scavenger Hunt Activity (30 minutes):

  • Provide a link to the digital scavenger hunt
  • Students work in pairs or groups to complete it using the interactive map.

2. Class Review (10 minutes):

Go over answers as a class and discuss interesting discoveries.

3. Reflection Activity (15 minutes):

Students write a short paragraph explaining the impact of one specific battle on the war's progression.
